Establishment:
AGFUND is a developmental non-profit-making institution, established in 1980 upon the initiative of HRH Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, and with the support of the Leaders of the Arab Gulf States that constitute its membership.
Objectives:
AGFUND is concerned with the support of sustainable human development efforts, targeting the neediest groups in the developing countries, particularly women and children, regardless of any discrimination based on color, race, creed or political affiliation. It works in close cooperation with the United Nations, regional and international organizations as well as non-governmental organizations and other institution active in the field of development. It also aims at stimulating the efforts of those capable of contributing to developmental work to alleviate human suffering and pain.

operations from establishment until 2001 of more than
US$ 200 million.
- Total number of beneficiary
countries is 126.
- AGFUND activities are funding programs and projects in the fields of health, education, human development, and disaster relief.
